Our Mission
The Servicemen and Citizens for American Rights Society (SCARS) is a registered Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Organization dedicated to two main purposes:
Defending Constitutional Rights: SCARS offers legal resources and services to U.S. Citizens facing government tyranny and overreach while exercising Constitutionally Protected activities through activism.
Supporting American Veterans: SCARS provides support services for American Veterans under the care of The Veteran’s Administration, ensuring they receive proper mental health care and educational services through our outreach programs. We also advocate for prompt and proper provision of physical and mental health care for our Military Veterans through legal services.
Your donations have helped SCARS provide the following services
All services are provided free of charge to SCARS clients. No exchange of money, property or services were provided by SCARS clients in exchange for any services provided. Client names are redacted pursuant to the SCARS/Client Release and Agreement.
- Client (redacted) – SCARS is currently aiding with a defamation styled lawsuit initiated in July 2024 against the Client. SCARS services began in November 2024. SCARS is providing scheduling assistance, so the Client was and can have Court Documents filed on time. SCARS provided research access and materials, along with formatting assistance. SCARS is currently also providing aid for a related criminal charge in the same fashion. A Motion to Dismiss is filed. The Criminal charge is pending, and SCARS expects an affirmative outcome for the Client in the next 30 days. SCARS has and is aiding with orderly paperwork including research, Motions, Discovery Processes, Answers and Outlines for Hearings. A countersuit is pending as well. This is a complicated case but is expected to have an affirmative ruling and outcome in favor of the Client in the next 60 days. Services are ongoing.
- Client (redacted) – Assistance with the Veteran’s Administration. SCARS provided direct intervention to get this client into the Community Care Program so that the client does not have to go to the VA facility due to both logistical issues (distance to care) and personal issues with employees, staff and the VA Police. Community Care was provided within 30 days of intervention after the client attempted to acquire Community Care for over 5 months. Scars also intervened to provide transportation to client’s health and mental care with Transportation Services normally provided by the VA. After SCARS intervened, transportation was provided within 48 hours of the clients’ appointment. This occurred twice, and transportation was provided after SCARS intervention for each incident. Services are ongoing.
- Client (redacted) – SCARS is currently aiding with a defamation styled lawsuit initiated in April 2025 against the Client. SCARS services began in April 2025. SCARS is providing scheduling assistance, so the Client was and can have Court Documents filed on time. SCARS provided research access and materials, along with formatting assistance. An affirmative outcome in favor of the Client is expected in the next 60 days. Services are ongoing.
- Client (redacted) -This Client has received assistance from SCARS in (3) separate cases. Services are ongoing
- First case was a lawsuit the Client initiated pro se, appeared frivolous, failed to state a claim unable to prove money damages prayed. Executive Legal Advisor recommended dismissing the case; Motion to Dismiss was filed. The case was dismissed without prejudice.
- Second case is a §1983 case against a police chief. Client initiated pro se. SCARS later assisted Client with case scheduling, tracking, data access, outlining and timely filing a Motion to Amend Complaint and an Amended Complaint. Motion was GRANTED; the case is currently in Discovery phase.
- Third Case, the Client was charged in 2020 in Illinois. Incorrect information was entered by the PD that arrested him regarding his home address at the time, Client was advised in 2020 that the case would be dropped. In 2025 Client discovered that a warrant had been issued in that case. SCARS assisted with a Motion to Quash Warrant. The motion was GRANTED. Hearing scheduled, the case is pending. Our client will submit a Motion to Dismiss based on a lack of Probable Cause this week. Likely positive outcome is expected in the next 45 days.
- Client (redacted) -SCARS assisted client in a Family Court matter. The client is an auditor and was prejudiced as such in this case. Client had a child dependent removed by Family Services. SCARS assisted the Client with case tracking, research materials, research assistance, and scheduling services. Child was not to be returned for over 1 year. After SCARS intervened, the Child was returned in 3 months. This Case is closed.
- Client (redacted) -Client was convicted of a misdemeanor criminal charge related to videoing police. SCARS intervened after the client’s private lawyer took an appeal to the Fla Court of Appeals but dropped off the case. SCARS is currently assisting with a §1983 civil action for remedy to the Federal Court. Services are ongoing.
- Client (redacted) -Client desires to enter the VA’s Community Care Program. SCARS is currently directly intervening as we did in a different case. Our client is also having problems with transportation to healthcare appointments; SCARS is currently intervening. Client was assaulted by VA Police. Our client has criminal charges pending from this incident. SCARS intervened; charges expected to be dropped but are still pending. An affirmative outcome is expected. Client desires to file a lawsuit; FR95 expected to be completed by the client in November to initiate civil action. Services are ongoing.
- Client (redacted) -(2 clients)- Charged by Social Security Administration for videoing in March 2024. SCARS assisted with research and timely submission of Motions to Dismiss. After the Motion to Dismiss was entered, the Government offered a plea deal of (1) fine of $100.00 which covered both clients, no jail time, no probation, and record to be expunged in 6 months. Clients faced 6 months’ imprisonment each and a fine of up to $5000,00. Clients refused plea deal, refused SCARS Executive Legal Advisor recommended taking of the plea deal and discontinued their relationship with SCARS. Following up after the relationship with SCARS was discontinued: Client (1) was convicted and sentenced to 14 days in Federal Prison with a $1000.00 fine + costs and (2) years of probation. Client (2) was convicted and fined $2000.00 + costs and (1) year of probation. Services are terminated.
- Client (redacted) -SCARS is providing medical care intervention. The client is supported by both State and VA Healthcare. The client was prescribed medication which caused a long-term adverse interaction. Through research, SCARS discovered the interaction, alternative medications were provided and the Clients’ quality of life increased dramatically and long term. SCARS provided direct intervention with housing quality. A cleaning service was provided along with new furniture and ongoing care. This case is ongoing.
SCARS also assisted and affirmatively closed out (6) cases requiring varying levels of assistance from very minor to minor issues with other clients since November 2024 not included in the above.
SCARS has also provided direct financial assistance to support individual homeless veterans. Scars has also provided activist clients funding to initiate court proceedings, and Hurricane relief in Fall of 2024 after Hurricane Helene to North and South Carolina victims.
To date, other than the (1) client refusal of the federal plea deal, SCARS has lost (0) cases.
No failures to assist have occurred.
